Strengths:
Ideal size. Elite upper body strength. A very good athlete. Has the ability to turn and run after the catch. Reliable hands. Quick off the snap. A hard worker in the weight room. Experienced on special teams.
Weaknesses:
Blocking ability is a major disappointment; has the strength to be dominant but hasn't lived up to that potential. Speed is adequate but not overall impressive; won't stretch the field or run away from many defenders.
Comments:
Dickson is a talented tight end who flashes the ability to be a starter at the next level at times. However, his lack of an impact as a blocker is a red flag. He clearly has the size and strength to excel in that area of the game so it calls into question in effort. He definitely has some upside, but isn't ready to make an impact just yet.
