Carlos Dunlap DE Florida #8

Ht: 6'6
Wt: 290

Strengths:
A physical freak of nature; an impressive blend of size, speed and athleticism. Possesses a nice array of pass rush moves. Quick off the snap. Could develop into a dominant pass rusher. Has the strength to hold his ground in run defense. Fast enough to make plays in pursuit.
Weaknesses:
Arrested and charged with a DUI after police found him passed out behind the wheel at an intersection four days before the 2009 SEC Championship. Work ethic is questionable. Appears to take plays off during games. May simply not have the desire to be as dominant as his athleticism would allow.
Comments:
Dunlap is the most physically gifted lineman in this year's draft class, but he is an extreme risk. He clearly has some maturity issues, and giving him millions of dollars is exactly he doesn't need right now. Any team considering drafting him should conduct extensive interviews and should feel comfortable about their coaching staff's ability to be patient and work with him through his potential off-field issues. He has the talent of a top-five pick, but shouldn't come off the board at least until the late 1st round. If he slides into the 2nd round he may actually have some value and could end up being a steal.
