Brandon Graham DE Michigan #55

Ht: 6'1
Wt: 263

Strengths:
Elite quickness off the snap. Uses his lack of height to get low to the ground and it becomes very difficult for taller linemen to stop his speed rush. Has a nice array of pass rush moves. Decent speed. Consistently makes plays in pursuit. Had a very productive career despite being the only true playmaker on Michigan's defense the last two seasons. May have the athleticism to shift to outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. A team leader on and off the field.
Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal height for a defensive end. Strength is only adequate. Too one-dimensional at times; not as effective when the ball is run at him. Charged with disorderly conduct in 2008 for playing music too loud and failed to show up in court; charges were later dropped. Missed time in 2008 with a knee infection.
Comments:
Due to his lack of size Graham doesn't look like a 1st-round prospect. However, his production would indicate otherwise. He dominated Big Ten offensive linemen all season and continued his success at the Senior Bowl. At times his lack of height actually plays to his advantage; his lack of size and speed combined makes it extremely difficult for some taller linemen to get low enough to slow him down. He is definitely a liability when the ball is run directly at him, but in all other situations he can be a dominant player at the next level. I believe he can play with his hand down in the 4-3 or at linebacker in the 3-4.
