Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma #14

Ht: 6'4
Wt: 223

Strengths:
Ideal size. Incredible accuracy on passes of all distance. Stands tall in the pocket and remains patient under pressure. Does a great job reading the defense and going through his progressions. Very advanced understanding of the game for an underclassman. Comes from a pro-style offense. Has all the intangibles you look for in a young quarterback; a smart kid and a great leader.
Weaknesses:
Durability is a serious concern. Suffered a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder against BYU his junior year and re-injured the shoulder against Texas forcing him to miss the remainder of the season. Arm strength is adequate but not extremely impressive; will the injury hurt his ability to throw the ball down field? Offensive line was dominant during his college career; hasn't faced the type of pressure he'll see on a weekly basis in the NFL.
Comments:
Bradford has all the tools necessary to be an elite NFL quarterback and would certainly be a top-five pick if not for his season-ending shoulder injury. The durability concern, however, may cause some teams to pass on him early in the draft. Having missed nearly an entire season, it will be difficult to step onto an NFL field from day one as a rookie.
