Strengths:
Elite size. A powerful run blocker. A former walk-on that developed into a 3-year starter.
Weaknesses:
Below average strength; just 15 reps on the bench press at the combine. Quickness is marginal. Not very good in pass protection. Lacks the sturdy base to hold his ground against more physical defensive linemen. Suffered a pulled hamstring during his pro day.
Comments:
Fanaika is a confusing prospect. Physically, he looks the part, but his offseason workouts have been disappointing. He definitely has the build to play in the NFL, but teams will question his strength and agility. He likely will go undrafted but should be picked up in free agency.
