Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio State #2

Ht: 6'0
Wt: 200

Strengths:
Ideal size and strength for an NFL cornerback. A true shutdown corner. Has the strength to get physical at the line of scrimmage, and the speed to know he won't get beat deep. Fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game. A reliable tackler and a major asset in run support. Has experience at safety and reads the quarterback very well when lined up at free safety. Excellent leaping ability and adequate ball skills. A playmaker on special teams; blocked two punts as a senior.
Weaknesses:
None? As with any rookie there will be areas he needs to work on, but he doesn't have a true weakness. He could quickly improve his stock by adding some weight - he has the frame to do so - and it could improve his ability to be physical at the line of scrimmage and to make plays in run support.
Comments:
Jenkins is arguably the best cornerback to enter the draft since Charles Woodson. His combination of size and strength are impressive, but what stands out most is how polished he is as a defensive back. Staying for his senior year helped him tremendously, and he should easily come off the board in the top ten.
