Strengths:
Ideal height and overall size. Good overall strength. A fairly physical player. Adequate athleticism. Decent speed. Has good instincts. A team leader on and off the field.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't appear to have a major weakness, but he doesn't stand out in any one area either. Hasn't faced much top competition. Missed time in 2007 with a knee injury. Missed time in 2008 with a torn pectoral muscle which also held him out of the combine.
Comments:
Mauga is nothing more than average in just about every aspect of his game, but he is fundamentally sound and doesn't have a real area of concern. He could be a very good backup in the pros.
