Strengths:
Has a nice athletic build. Above average strength for a cornerback. Good leaping ability. Experienced on punt returns. Great ball skills. Does a nice job of tracking the ball and going up to make a play.
Weaknesses:
Undersized; lacks the height to match up with some of the taller receivers in the NFL. Speed is below average; may be better suited to play free safety.
Comments:
Burnett was one of the top cornerbacks in Conference USA, but has limited upside at the next level. Due to his lack of speed he may a better fit at free safety, but he has no experience there. He's a decent option in the 6th or 7th round and should be a priority to sign in free agency if he's available.
