Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri #9

Ht: 6'1
Wt: 200

Strengths:
Ideal size for an NFL receiver. Elite speed - a threat to take it the distance every time the ball is in his hands. Has experience on punt and kick returns. Excellent quickness and agility, has the ability to make defenders miss and pick up extra yardage after the catch. Intangibles are top notch; you don't have to worry about him becoming the next T.O.
Weaknesses:
Tends to catch the ball with his body too often. Doesn't use his size to his advantage at all; he might as well be 5'10/180 because he avoids contact and plays the way you expect a return specialist to play.
Comments:
Maclin certainly has the ability to be a playmaker, but he'll need to learn to use his size to his advantage. He reminds me of former 49ers receiver Rashaun Woods. Woods was a tremendously productive college receiver who had the size to excel in the NFL, but speed was his greatest asset and he never learned how to adjust to NFL game where the players are faster and stronger than in the Big 12.
