Sergio Kindle OLB Texas #2

Ht: 6'4
Wt: 255

Strengths:
Prototypical size for a 3-4 linebacker. Athletic enough to play linebacker in a 3-4 or 4-3 system. An elite pass rusher who primarily played defensive end in college. Adequate speed.
Weaknesses:
Suspended for 3 games in 2007 for drunken driving. Drove his car into an apartment building in July 2009, reportedly because he was texting while driving. Doesn't have the strength to play defensive end. Struggles to shed blocks consistently. Overaggressive and isn't quick to adjust. A liability against the run.
Comments:
Kindle looks the part, but he is raw and inconsistent and has all the makings of becoming a 1st-round bust. There is no question he can impact the game in passing situations, but it remains to be seen if he's capable of being an every-down player at the next level. His off-field issues raise further red flags, making him a dangerous selection in the 1st round despite having obvious 1st-round ability.
