Zack Follett OLB California #56

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 231

Strengths:
Plays with great intensity. Tremendously productive in Cal's 3-4 defense as a senior. Adequate speed. Very reliable tackler. A hard hitter. Shows the ability to consistently get into the backfield and make plays. Has a knack for forcing turnovers.
Weaknesses:
Undersized. Doesn't have the natural physical abilities to make a smooth transition into the NFL. Has found success by outworking and out-hustling his opponents; that doesn't always translate into NFL success. Missed time in 2007 with a neck injury. Not a great athlete. Limited experience in coverage.
Comments:
Follett is a boom-or-bust prospect. He was very productive at Cal, but physically, he just doesn't look like an NFL linebacker. He could turn into an All-Pro, or he could flame out after a couple years. At the very least, his intensity and work ethic should allow for him to become a productive special teams player at the next level.
