Tyson Jackson DE LSU #

Ht: 6'4
Wt: 295

Strengths:
Elite size and strength. A powerful lineman. Excels as a bull rusher; can simply force his way into the backfield with brute strength. Excellent quickness off the snap and gets a good initial punch on the offensive lineman. Big enough to play defensive end in 3-4, or defensive tackle in a 4-3.
Weaknesses:
Not much of a pass rusher. Speed is below average for a defensive end. Doesn't show the ability to chase down the ball carrier.
Comments:
Jackson isn't much of a playmaker in terms of making the highlight reel, but his size and strength opens up holes for his teammates on a consistent basis. He will be a very attractive prospect for a team that runs the 3-4 defense. There's a limited number of upper level prospects capable of being a 3-4 defensive end and Jackson is clearly at the top of class in that category this year.
