Ryan Purvis TE Boston College #

Ht: 6'4
Wt: 254

Strengths:
Prototypical size. Decent hands. Gives a solid effort as a blocker.
Weaknesses:
Strength is below average. Not a very dominant blocker. Struggles to finish off blocks. Can get knocked around a bit by more physical defenders. Took a major step backwards as a receiver in 2008 due to the departure of Matt Ryan.
Comments:
Purvis was one of the most productive tight ends in the nation in 2007 and was Matt Ryan's favorite target. In 2008, however, his production took a major step backwards. He lacks the strength to be a dominant blocker and lacks the athleticism to be an impact receiver. He'll need to improve in one of those areas to make an impact in the NFL.
