Mortty Ivy OLB West Virginia #44

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 239

Strengths:
Most productive player on West Virginia's defense the past two years. Shows good athleticism. Above average strength despite his lack of overall size. Does an adequate job getting into the backfield and making plays. Looks good in coverage.
Weaknesses:
Suffered a torn ACL in 2006. Can be taken out of plays by stronger offensive lineman. Does a poor job shedding blocks when the ball is run at him.
Comments:
Ivy has shown flashes of being a capable pro linebacker, but inconsistency will hold him back on draft day. He's at his best when given room to make plays and chase after the ball carrier. His struggles against the run will make him a liability as an every-down linebacker but he should be an adequate backup at the next level.
