Fili Moala DT USC #75

Ht: 6'4
Wt: 305

Strengths:
Ideal height for the position. Plenty of experience; a three-year starter on one of the nation's top defensive units. Very physical at the point of attack. Strong lower body allows him to take on multiple blockers.
Weaknesses:
Lacks the strength to be a dominant defensive tackle. Quickness is below average. Struggles to get into the backfield with consistency. A bit of a 'tweener between the two tackle positions - not strong enough to play nose tackle, not quick enough to be a three-technique. Arrested in March, 2008 for obstructing an officer and resisting arrested outside a night club.
Comments:
Moala is a little overrated because of where he played college ball. His deficiencies were masked by all the talent around him at USC. He has the potential to be an above average lineman at the next level but he will need to bulk up to make a significant impact. He should come off the board in the late 2nd or 3rd round.
