Evander "Ziggy" Hood DT Missouri #94

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 300

Strengths:
Ideal size and strength. A very physical defensive lineman. A high-energy player. Above average quickness and agility. Speed is impressive for an interior lineman. A three-year starter.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't always play to the level that his workout numbers would lead you to believe. Fundamentals need some work. Doesn't always play with a sturdy base and can get knocked around by more physical offensive linemen as a result. Missed time with a broken foot in 2006.
Comments:
Hood looked like a 2nd-round pick following the conclusion of his senior season, but impressive workout numbers have elevated his stock. He has shown above average speed, quickness and strength in workouts, but never played at the level his numbers would indicate in college. He could be a work in progress, or just a classic underachiever. There are enough teams in need of a defensive tackle that he should come off the board somewhere in the top 40 picks.
