Dorell Scott DT Clemson #97

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 312

Strengths:
Impressive size and strength. Has a large, but athletic frame with room to add weight Explosive off the snap. Very physical at the point of attack. Uses his hands well to shed blocks. Gets into the backfield with consistency.
Weaknesses:
Inconsistent. Had a disappointing senior year. Suffered a sprained knee in 2008.
Comments:
Scott has tremendous upside but inconsistent play significantly hurt his stock in 2008. His value is clearly greater for teams in need of a nose tackle, specifically teams running a 3-4 defense. Based on his frame, he could easily get his playing weight up to 320 pounds - the ideal size for a 3-4 tackle. He reminds me of a poor-man's Shaun Rogers. He should come off the board in the 3rd or early 4th round.
