Corey Irvin DT Georgia #90

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 301

Strengths:
Ideal height. Decent overall size. Took major strides his senior year. Adequate quickness and surprising speed. Capable of making some plays in the backfield.
Weaknesses:
Very raw. Only one year of starting experience at the D-I level.; spent two years at Georgia Military Academy before joining Georgia in 2007. A career backup until an injury to Jeff Owens opened up a starting spot for him in 2008. Strength is only average. Not a great athlete. Doesn't have a great build; a little chubby and could stand to add some more muscle mass.
Comments:
Irvin entered the 2008 season with little to no hope of being drafted but an injury opened up a starting role and he took full advantage of the opportunity. He is still raw but he showed enough to likely earn a spot in the late rounds as a developmental prospect.
