Brandon Tate WR North Carolina #

Ht: 6'0
Wt: 180

Strengths:
Adequate height. Decent speed. Good route runner; consistently gains separation. A consistent deep threat. Can be a playmaker after the catch. Experienced on punt and kick returns.
Weaknesses:
Lacks the bulk to be a physical receiver. Doesn't offer much as a blocker. Didn't really emerge until his senior year (but didn't have consistent quarterback play either). Still very raw, but has showed improvement. Suffered a torn ACL and MCL in October, 2008 and missed the remainder of the season.
Comments:
Tate's stock was soaring this past season until he suffered a serious knee injury which ended his college career. It will be difficult to justify taking him before the 4th round as result of the injury, but his potential as a return man makes him a fairly safety pick in the mid rounds of the draft.
