B.J. Raji DT Boston College #90

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 334

Strengths:
Elite size and strength. Has the size to play nose tackle in a 3-4 system. Impressive quickness for his size. Has the ability to get into the backfield and make plays on occasion.
Weaknesses:
Below average height; doesn't have the ability to raise his arms and get in the quarterbacks line of sight like some bigger tackles. Doesn't have the speed to chase down ball carriers. Has struggled to keep his weight under control. Some character concerns - missed all of 2007 with academic issues; suspended in 2006 for throwing a punch in a game vs Central Michigan.
Comments:
Last name is pronounced "RAH-jee." Raji has rare natural talent for a defensive tackle, but there are multiple concerns. Issues with his eligibility and overall character should be closely examined before spending a first round pick on him. Ultimately he could come off the board in the top 10 if teams are convinced his previous issues are a part of his past.
