Quan Sturdivant

Quan Sturdivant scouting report

Quan Sturdivant ILB North Carolina
Ht: 6’1″

Wt: 240

Strengths:
Good overall size. Decent athleticism. Tremendously productive at North Carolina. Experience at outside and inside linebacker. Looks very fluid dropping into coverage (played safety in high school). Very reliable tackler and can deliver the hard hit on occasion. Has all the skills necessary to be a prototypical 4-3 inside linebacker.
Weaknesses:
Arrested for marijuana possession in 2010. Missed five games due to a hamstring injury in 2010. Inconsistent as a pass rusher. Doesn’t consistently shed blocks and get into the backfield. Lacks elite sideline-to-sideline speed and mobility.
Comments:
Had he stayed healthy in 2010, Sturdivant could have put together the type of season that may have shot him up draft boards. He is a prototypical 4-3 inside linebacker and in a weak class for the position he has a chance to come off the board higher than his consensus grades may indicate. He isn’t the most talented linebacker in this year’s class, but he is one of the more polished players and could make an immediate impact.
