Josh Thomas

Josh Thomas scouting report

Josh Thomas CB Buffalo
Ht: 5’10″

Wt: 190

Strengths:
A natural athlete with decent speed and quickness. Can run with most receiver. Does a nice job tracking the ball in the air and getting his hands up to make plays. Starter for the majority of his four seasons at Buffalo. A willing run defender.
Weaknesses:
Only two career interceptions. Undersized; lacks height and bulk. Despite a solid effort, he’ll struggle to bring down bigger running backs and receivers at the next level. Has a tendency to be overaggressive; teams didn’t shy away from throwing at him because he was known to give up some big plays.
Comments:
As a player with limited physical tools, Thomas needs to cut down on the mistakes in order to play at the next level. He has NFL skills, he just needs to be more disciplined on the field. He’s worth a late-round selection and should be able to contribute as a third or fourth option at cornerback immediately.
