| Strengths: | ||
| Elite size. Very well built; can take a pounding. Strong legs make him tough to bring down. Adequate speed for his size. A solid receiver out of the backfield. Highly recruited player out of high school; tons of potential and still lots of upside. | ||
| Weaknesses: | ||
| Never lived up to his potential. Backed up C.J Spiller until 2010 and averaged just 3.9 yards per carry. Limited experience; only one season with over 100 carries (197 in 2010). Not a very elusive back; won’t make many guys miss in the open field. | ||

| Harper has a ton of potential but he never showed it consistently in college. His size and decent speed and athleticism make him a candidate to be a true workhorse at the next level. However, he needs to make major strides before he’s ready to see significant playing time in the NFL. At worst, he should make for a very solid short-yardage back. His ability to pick up the tough yards, coupled with his receiving ability, could make him a good situational player. | ||
