DeMarco Murray

DeMarco Murray scouting report

DeMarco Murray RB Oklahoma
Ht: 6’0″

Wt: 214

Plenty of experience against top competition. Showed steady improvement throughout his career and took a major leap forward as a senior. Added weight prior to 2010 season and his game improved dramatically. Always had the speed to bounce outside, but now has the bulk to run between the tackles. Experienced as a receiver out of the backfield.
Suffered a number of minor injuries throughout his first three years, but stayed healthy in 2010. Tends to run upright, which leaves him vulnerable to big hits, but showed some improvement in his style in 2010. Limited ability as a blocker; just not asked to stay in and block often at Oklahoma.
Murray showed a ton of promise as a freshman, and developed slowly but surely before his career really took off as as senior. His improved running style and his added weight gave him the ability to be more physical and made him a more durable running back overall. He doesn’t do any one thing great, but is just a very solid all-around running back. Could be a more explosive version of Ryan Grant – the type of player who may not make any Pros Bowls, but could be a solid starter.
