D’Aundre Reed

D’Aundre Reed scouting report

D’Aundre Reed DE Arizona
Ht: 6’4″

Wt: 260

Strengths:
Prototypical height and build. Impressive upper body strength. Shows a nice bull rush but has the athleticism to be a speed rusher off the edge as well. Physically looks the part and has a lot of untapped potential.
Weaknesses:
Never a full time starter; stuck behind Brooks Reed and Ricky Elmore. Limited production while playing as part of a rotation. Not as effective against the run; needs to develop more lower-body strength to anchor at the point of attach in run defense.
Comments:
It’s hard to get excited about a guy who only started one game as a senior, but Reed is a special case. Both guys who were starting ahead of him should come off the board in the top 150 picks and Reed simply got lost in the shuffle. He has the raw physical tools to be an impact player in the NFL and could be the type of guy that far exceeds his college production once he’s given a chance in an NFL system.
