Cortez Allen scouting report

Cortez Allen CB Citadel
Ht: 6’1″

Wt: 197

Strengths:
Impressive size. A physical corner. A reliable tackler for a cornerback and is willing to help out against the run. Team captain.
Weaknesses:
Below average speed; will struggle to stay with some of the smaller, faster receivers at the next level which limits his value. May be viewed as a free safety by some teams. Level of competition is a concern.
Comments:
Allen was a productive cornerback at The Citadel, but his lack of speed is a concern. It wasn’t an issue against lower-level competition, but it remains to be seen if he can make smooth transition to the NFL. Despite those concerns, his size should keep his stock afloat because he could always make the move to safety if he struggles at cornerback.
