Ronald Johnson scouting report

Ronald Johnson WR USC
Ht: 5’11″

Wt: 200

Strengths:
Decent speed, can stretch the field to an extent. Reliable route runner; the best part of his game. Does a nice job against zone coverage. Looks good running with the ball in his hands.
Weaknesses:
A consistent receiver, but just doesn’t stand out in any one area. Doesn’t have a great overall build. Lacks elite height or strength. Can get jammed at the line of scrimmage against more physical corners. Lacks the leaping ability to go up and pluck the ball out of the air; not much of a threat to make plays in traffic.
Comments:
Johnson was a fairly productive receiver at USC and he enough talent to make an impact as a 3rd or 4th receiver in the pros, but his upside is limited. He shouldn’t come off the board before the 5th round and could fall even further.
