| Strengths: | ||
| Decent size and strength. An above-average athlete for an interior lineman. Dominant FCS player who was a superstar on one of the nation’s best defensive units. Does a great job getting into the backfield consistently. A threat to get to the quarterback (5.5 sacks in 2010). | ||
| Weaknesses: | ||
| Hasn’t faced top competition. Lacks the elite size, strength or athleticism which would ease concerns about transitioning to facing NFL talent. | ||
| Comments: | ||
| In such a deep class for defensive linemen it’s easy to overlook a guy like Parker who hasn’t proven himself against elite competition. However, he was dominant against his level of competition and appears to have the skills necessary to take his game to the next level. He is well worth a mid-round pick, and could be one of the biggest surprises in this year’s draft class. | ||
