Jeremy Beal scouting report

Jeremy Beal OLB Oklahoma
Ht: 6’2″

Wt: 261

Strengths:
Extremely productive three-year starter at Oklahoma. Plenty of experience against top competition. 29 career sacks, 10 career forced fumbles. A team leader on and off the field. Plays with a great motor.
Weaknesses:
Limited athletically. Speed is well below average, even for a defensive end. Does not have the speed or overall athleticism to match up with anyone in coverage. Will need to be used exclusively as a pass rusher which all but eliminates any chance of him starting at the next level.
Comments:
Beal is a classic example of a great college player who has simply maxed out his ability and may struggle to find a place at the next level. If it weren’t for his collegiate production, he wouldn’t even be in the discussion to get drafted, but it’s impossible to ignore the impact he had at Oklahoma.
