Jermale Hines scouting report

Jermale Hines S Ohio State
Ht: 6’1″

Wt: 220

Elite size and strength. Built like a prototypical strong safety. Excels in run support. Shows decent closing speed. A hard hitter and also a reliable tackler. Experience at free and strong safety. Plenty of experience on special teams.
Limited experience and ability in coverage. Saw fairly consistent playing time, but was part of a rotation so he was rarely starting and on the field for an entire game.
Hines lacks the elite athleticism and coverage skills to project as a starter, but his ability to contribute in run support and on special teams should make him a safe pick in the mid-to-late rounds. His upside may be limited, but he definitely has a future in the league.
