| Strengths: | ||
| A tough, physical player. Reliable tackler who also flashes the ability to deliver big hits. Experience lining up at all three linebacker positions in the 4-3 system, primarily at the mike and sam positions. Shows great instincts. A patient player who reads the play and rarely over-commits. Team leader on and off the field. NFL bloodlines; cousin of Bobby Hoying. | ||
| Weaknesses: | ||
| Missed almost entire 2007 season with turf toe. Limited athletically; a bit stiff and doesn’t have the skills to be great in coverage. Straight-line speed is decent, but his quickness and agility is marginal | ||

| Homan’s lack of athleticism is really the only thing holding him back from being a top-50 pick. He’s a smart, tough player that coaches and teammates love to be around. His versatility and his intangibles will make him a solid backup at the next level. | ||
