Orlando Franklin scouting report

Orlando Franklin OG Miami FL
Ht: 6’6″

Wt: 316

Strengths:
Impressive size and strength. Strong lower body allows him to anchor against the bull rush. Experience at both guard and tackle. Above average athleticism for an interior lineman. Capable of getting to the second level at times.
Weaknesses:
Guard/tackle ‘tweener; struggled when lined up at left tackle in college. Will be limited to right tackle or guard in the pros. Failed to live up to expectations; a slow developing player who has yet to maximize his potential. Still makes rookie mistakes and gets caught out of position frequently despite starting 35 career games.
Comments:
Franklin has the raw skills necessary to start in the NFL, but he has failed to show the consistency to warrant a high pick. His versatility will be attractive if he falls into the mid rounds, but someone may fall in love with his raw potential and take him much higher than he deserves to go. He’s a boom or bust prospect, but I’m leaning towards expecting a bust.
