Markus White scouting report

Markus White DE Florida State
Ht: 6’4″

Wt: 266

Quick off the snap. Does a nice job staying low making him a tough matchup for taller offensive tackles. An impressive edge rusher. Shows a steady improvement in his two years as a starter at Florida State. Plays with an intense motor.
Limited strength. Lacks the ability to consistently shed blocks. A liability against the run; teams consistently ran his direction and he was often helpless. Doesn’t have great speed; won’t make many plays in pursuit. 24 years old.
White has potential but may struggle to find a role at the next level. He really struggles against the run, simply lacking the strength to hold his ground against more physical run-blocking tackles. He’s at his best when rushing off the edge but he lacks the elite athleticism and speed that team’s look for in situational pass rushers. His initial impact may be minimal, but he has the raw potential to develop into a contributor if he improves his strength and overall performance against the run.
