| Impressive size and strength. Above average athleticism for an interior lineman. Looks very good when pulling and does a nice job getting to the second level. Quick off the snap. An aggressive blocker who finishes off defenders. | ||
| Weaknesses: | ||
| Struggled when switched to center in 2010, probably limited to playing guard in the pros. Has a tendency to play too high. Struggles against bigger defensive lineman, may have a hard time stopping the bull rush from nose tackles at the next level. Limited experience at any one position; played defensive line as freshman, guard as sophomore and junior and center as a senior. | ||

| Pouncey is one of the top interior linemen in this year’s class, but he’s received more hype than he probably deserves because of his last name. There’s a reason why his brother, Maurkice, turned pro last year while Mike stayed in school – its because Maurkice is just a better all-around player. Pouncey has the skills to start at guard, but probably won’t be an immediate Pro Bowler like his brother. | ||
