Martez Wilson scouting report

Martez Wilson ILB Illinois
Ht: 6’4″

Wt: 250

Strengths:
Elite size/athleticism combination. Impressive speed. Has experience in coverage, sometimes lining up with receivers. Reliable tackler.
Weaknesses:
Plays out of control. Overaggressive and bites on fakes too easily. Struggles to shed block when mixing it up with offensive lineman. Doesn’t play up to the level that his raw athleticism should allow.
Comments:
Wilson has a very high ceiling, which will make him a high draft pick, but his production on the field is more in the range of a 4th or 5th round prospect. With his size and athleticism its easy to see the shell of a future star, but there’s a lot of work to be done. He doesn’t appear to be a very smart player on the field and will need a lot of coaching before he’s ready to be a leader in the middle of an NFL defense.
