Jason Pinkston scouting report

Jason Pinkston OT Pittsburgh
Ht: 6’3″

Wt: 313

41 career starts overall, 38 at left tackle. A powerful run blocker. Could be a dominant right tackle in a run-oriented offense. Does a great job staying low and holding his ground against the bull rush.
Not a great athlete. Won’t be able to play left tackle in the pros. Will struggle against speed rushers on the edge. Some teams may consider him a better fit for guard.
Pinkston isn’t a polished offensive lineman, but he’s an old school type of player that just gets the job done with brute force. He is a truly dominant run blocker and whether its at right tackle or guard, he will excel in that area of the game. His ability to develop into an all-around player will depend on his ability to lose some weight and become more agile in pass protection.
